  • Tin Can Pottery Shop: known for handcrafted pottery that blends modern design with rustic charm.
  • The Mossy Coast: specializing in nature-inspired apparel and gifts that reflect the beauty of the west coast.
  • Maggie's Treats: offering a delightful selection of homemade treats for your pets, inspired by Maggie herself.
  • Sinfully Delicious: tempting the community with a wide variety of gourmet cake pops and decadent desserts.

The History Behind The Rail Yard Market

The name The Rail Yard Market holds historical significance for Campbell River. Logging was an early industry in the area, and the railway played a crucial role in supporting this industry. The rail lines facilitated the transport of timber and provided infrastructure that supported Campbell River’s growth and development into the thriving city it is today. The market, much like the railway, will be a vehicle for growth – this time for local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Engagement

The planning process involved engagement with the public, First Nations, community partners, a project team, City staff and Council at key stages of plan design. Focus groups took place in Campbell River on November 17 and 18, 2023.
