The City hosted an open house at the Maritime Heritage Centre (621 Island Highway) on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. We thank those who were able to join us to learn more about the City’s HAF Action Plan.

We want to hear from you!

A survey has been created to gather input on the HAF.

During this survey, residents will be encouraged to provide feedback about four initiatives in particular:

  • Missing Middle Zoning Strategy and Infrastructure Readiness
  • Parking Regulations
  • Multi-family Housing and Transit Oriented Development.

Further information and updates on the other three initiatives will be provided at a later date.

The City will use the feedback gathered to inform the development of new City strategies, regulations and promotional materials related to housing.

The HAF Action Plan is part of a broader housing strategy, which includes potentially permitting a total of 1,200 units (including the 282 funded through HAF) over the same time period.
